My name is Troy Wilkinson. I’m a 21-year-old college student working diligently to become a better human. I’m currently studying in order to get a bachelor’s in journalism at Colorado State University. I’m not a Colorado-native though, I still need to adjust to the sub-zero temperature that flies through Fort Collins. Originally I’m from San Ramon, California, a suburb 40 minutes east of San Francisco.
When I say “working diligently to become a better human” I’m being somewhat serious. Constantly I’m looking to more deeply engage with new people, get their thoughts on the world and make a more concerted effort toward affecting positive change. One fact of life is that I don’t know much, but I can figure out a whole lot when I start talking to people. Collectively, there’s a wealth of knowledge in each of our communities. I hope that this blog serves as a platform to share what some of the people who I speak to have to say.

I’m an explorer and adventurer at heart, informed by my permanent love of video games. I enjoy trekking and traveling. Just recently, I studied for a year at Royal Thimphu College in Bhutan’s capital city, Thimphu.
Anyway, I hope that what I say in this blog can not only improve who I am through writing practice and working out thoughts on a variety of topics, but also I hope it improves whoever happens to be reading this blog too. I want to be a resource and a part of the larger community, so if you have any inclination please comment.
If there’s anything I like doing it’s starting a dialogue.
